Versus

Do you remember how good that album by Pearl Jam was? "Animal" just popped up on my ipod while I was exercising tonight and it just "felt" so good. I got into it and realized that I really liked that album. Amazing how I forgot. And they were HUGE at that time.

Yeah..that was a good album.. actually I'm currently listening to an awesome live, acoustic version of Yellow Ledbetter I found. Did you know that Eddie Vedder improvises and changes the lyrics for that song every time he sings it (except for the main chorus). Even the guitar part is improvised differently every time.. although it follows the same basic chord progression. I read that Vedder meant it to be played this way, and the song should never actually be written down..., so the song never has a static feel to it, and many times he comes up with the lyrics on the spot.... and is sung a little incoherently (what Pearl Jam song isn't) so people have an easier time finding meaning and relating to the song..

Talk about inspirational..

I remember buying that record at a midnight sale at Singing Dog down on campus. I then blasted it in the laundry room of the dorm while I wrote that paper I should have written a week prior.

Hmmmm. This may inspire a blog post when I get the time.
