Quick Quiz...I am getting old

I texted some good friends this question:

How many current NBA coaches were players during our years of watching the NBA regularly and who are they? Circa 85-86 season and on.

Without hesitation my buddy Ernie living out on the west coast (and 3 hours earlier than the early morning time of the text) chimed in first and nailed it.

Can you?

Without looking

Doc Rivers
Mo Cheeks
Scott Skiles (soon to be head coach of bucks)
Avery Johnson
Byron Scott
Blazers' Coach (can't remember his name, but he played for the Sonics)
Raptors coach (can't remember his name)

I am not counting Isiah

Unsure of
Eddie Jordan?

T-Wolves?

Very nice. I won't say who I was able to think of or the list I have checked so others can play along that read this.

I was pretty much the same as you. I do know who you are talking about coaching Portland.

But I'm pretty sure PJ Carlisimo is currently in Seattle and didn't play during our years of watching. He was coaching Seton Hall back in the day and several other places since (Golden St with Spree and San Antonio as an assistant for example).

Is good old Randy Wittman in Minnesota right now?

I am doing this without looking either.
